You know Fourlane for our outstanding services and as the #1 reseller of Intuit products. What makes Fourlane so unique is the dedication of our employees. We will begin with our Services Manager Alisha Delancey, who has been with Fourlane for nearly five years.
Beginning Years
Alisha knew early on that accounting and business operations was what she wanted to do. This stemmed from her working alongside her father in his construction business as a child: “I started learning about that business when I was in high school. I’ve literally used QuickBooks since I was 10.” With the experience at a young age, she continued her trajectory in college where she graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in accounting.
Career Calling
In her thirteen-plus year career she has worked in different capacities; as an accountant at Alcoa and Robert Half Finance & Accounting, a controller at CleanFuel USA, and, as she began at Fourlane, a Senior Software Consultant. Now, she is our Services Manager, and she credits much of her success with clients from her past experiences: “I can put myself in their shoes because I’ve been there.” While she works with all industries and clients, Alisha specializes in working with the Inventory and Manufacturing sectors.
Alisha had utilized QuickBooks since she was young and throughout her career. But she wanted to go deeper; become an expert on this software. “Over 90% of businesses I worked with used QuickBooks,” she mentions. She made it her goal to become a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Falling for Fourlane
That’s where Fourlane comes in! We are so lucky to have Alisha – in her client reviews you’ll often see the words “patient,” “personable,” “extremely knowledgeable,” and “dedicated.” And she’s right, it is a match made in heaven. She took her knowledge of accounting software to the next-level.
“Being a Fourlane ProAdvisor allows me to work with a lot of different businesses, and work on different challenges. But the fact that every client is using QuickBooks so I have a really strong foundation and expertise to draw from. I feel like I can talk to any business about anything with confidence, and quickly figure out how to make a positive impact on their bottom line.”
No-Nonsense Philosophy
Alisha sets the tone for our values and how we approach customers here at Fourlane. It’s a no-nonsense approach:
“I’m always 100% honest with clients. Sometimes that can be hard to hear, but I’m a consultant. People are paying for my expertise and professional opinion. If I don’t give them that then I’m wasting their time.”
Her approach to every client is to put herself in their shoes and see their needs from their eyes. Making sure that at the forefront of her work she is doing two crucial things: “building relationships and trust” and “providing an experience.” She is sure to emphasize the relationship aspect of her work because our work depends on the partnership with our clients. “We want to respect your time and work,” as she mentions, “and want our clients to do the same for us.”
Taking Care of Her Team
That care also extends to her team as well. She mentions a highlight of this year was “seeing the growth and leadership of my team.” Fourlane fosters growth and learning, which Alisha credits for own move from Consultant to Services Manager. Even more, it’s something she makes sure that her team also has. Space to thrive and to be challenged.
