When the Fourlane team gets a call from a potential client, it’s because they are in pain. Usually not physical pain, but something isn’t working right. It could be they can’t get an accurate view of their finances in real time, perhaps their processes require so much data entry that their finances are riddled with errors, or maybe they realize that running everything from inventory to their balance sheet in Excel is not beneficial.

One common issue our clients face is whether to upgrade to something beyond QuickBooks Enterprise, such as an Oracle NetSuite-level software. If a company’s size and budget can’t accommodate the hefty monthly fees associated with an ERP, customization is frequently the best answer. And, while many clients hesitate to go that route by looking for an off-the-shelf solution, these types of products need customization as well. Integrating existing systems such as point of sale, ecommerce and CRM systems with QuickBooks or other business accounting packages can do a lot to automate processes and improve productivity.
