Later this month, I’ll be presenting the new QuickBooks Enterprise Certification training at Scaling New Heights June 21-24 in New Orleans. I was honored that Intuit asked me to develop three of its six training modules. Writing the content within State Board and Intuit guidelines has been challenging and, in some aspects, a trip down memory lane.
- Developing the training reminded me of my goal when I was a kid, to be a teacher. Even though my job title is not teacher nor do I work in a school, I am still passionate about educating others. I often teach my clients the power of QuickBooks. That’s also why I’ve developed over 200 FREE training videos on our website to help other QuickBooks users.
- Developing the training also reminded me that I’ve been doing this for a long time! I started thinking back to when I used QuickBooks in my first job in private industry. That was 15 years ago.
- Part of the training Intuit asked me to create focuses on consulting and implementation. There are not many guidelines on how ProAdvisors can consult around QuickBooks, which is what I do day in and day out. Sharing this information is a bit scary; am I giving the competition all of my secrets? Regardless, there are a lot of people out there needing services like the ones we provide.
I’m looking forward to seeing the results when this training goes live. I love hearing that someone learned something from me.
