Getting Off to a Good Start in 2015

I don’t know about you, but the New Year always inspires me to clean out the closets, wash the windows and make sure I have a clean slate.

For my business, “cleaning up” means ensuring workflow is as efficient as possible. Because we are a consulting firm, our business processes tie around information and employees. That means we need great tools to share information and track activities.

Information Sharing

When it comes to efficient workflow on a project, having the right information at your fingertips is a must! That’s why we’re launching a new CRM very soon. While we are still finalizing the details, we have high hopes that the custom fields we’ve created in the CRM will add efficiencies to our processes, allowing us to save time on client projects so that we can focus more time on helping you build your business.

Tracking Activities

While our new CRM will help us track activities at the client level, many of our clients have trouble tracking activities at a macro level. That’s why we’re recommending a new, powerful timesheet software. Here are some of the reasons why:

  • It integrates with QuickBooks (a necessity!).
  • It’s easy for employees to use via iPhone or Android apps, computer, a laptop or tablet, and even works when we’re offline.
  • It encompasses real-time reporting, so you’ll always know how many hours an employee has worked on a client project.

The system also includes automatic overtime alerts, PTO approval, a who’s working feature and more.
